Lisa Armytage
Lisa is an experienced actor who has worked both in the UK and Australia. Trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, she worked in theatre with the Bristol Old Vic (The Provok'd Wife), and BBC Radio Drama before emigrating to Australia, where she took main-cast and lead roles in television, film and radio drama. This included the main cast of Neighbours, as Dr Beverley Marshall; the lead role of cattle-woman Jo Reagan in the feature-film Cool Change, (directed by George Miller); and Anne Lancaster in the tv mini-series The Lancaster Miller Affair.
In Australian theatre she has appeared with the Melbourne Theatre Company, (A Cuckoo in the Nest), The Playbox Theatre, Melbourne, (Coralie Lansdowne Says No), and the Belvoir Theatre, Sydney, (Learning to Waltz with Tigers and Dragons). Since returning to the UK she has taken lead theatre roles with Eastern Angles Theatre Company as English landowner Mrs Pretty, in The Sutton Hoo Mob, and multiple roles in the comedy The Secret Lives of Henry and Alice (Blackfriars, Boston).
Other television includes All Saints, Police Rescue 2, A Country Practice, The Miraculous Mellops, Cop Shop and Cell Block H; while in radio drama Lisa has taken lead roles with ABC radio, including Minna Von Barnhelm, Footmarks in the Sand, and No Place for a Nervous Lady. She has also played a range of character voices for animations, and narrator for documentaries and educational videos.
