Peter Vollebregt is an extremely versatile actor who has had many years of experience playing lead roles on stage and screen. Born in Dublin of Dutch parents, and trained in drama at Trinity collage Dublin, Peter’s Irish theatre credits include: PYGMALION at the Gate, ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD at the Abbey, BORSTAL BOY and TORCHLIGHT AND LASERBEAMS at the Gaiety & Edinburgh Festival, SWEETS OF SIN and THE DRACULA MEDITATIONS at the Project, CAROUSEL at the Tivoli, BEYOND THERAPY at Andrews Lane, JFK A MUSICAL DRAMA at the Olympia, THE STUDENT PRINCE at the Cork Opera House, FRANKLY MY DEAR on tour, A CHELSEA AFFAIR at the Mint and BURN THIS at Bewley’s Theatre for the Dublin Theatre Festival. He received particular critical acclaim as Brendan Barragh in A MANUAL OF TRENCH WARFARE at the Crossroads Theatre Sydney, as Ben in WHO’S ON FIRST at Andrews Lane Dublin, as Brad Majors in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW at the Tivoli & Olympia Dublin, as The Fool in THE CUCHULAIN CYCLE at the Riverside Studios London and as Juror No.8 in 12 ANGRY MEN at the Gaiety and Olympia theatres and on national tour. Peter won The Irish Times Best Actor Award for this role. Apart from a huge range of commercial Voice-Over work, Peter has worked extensively in radio drama and recently played the title role in the comedy series COUNCILLOR O’TOOLE for Channel 4 Oneword digital radio. He was the resident ‘Voice’ of the RTE TV quiz show IT’S NOT THE ANSWER and has narrated the James Bond books CASINO ROYALE, DR.NO & GOLDFINGER for Macmillan Publishers. He is most recognisable to Irish audiences for his two years playing Andrew Taylor in the Irish TV drama series FAIR CITY and as THIS IS NIGHTLIVE’s very un-PC sports anchor Trevor Corcoran. Peter most recently appeared with Ross Kemp in ULTIMATE FORCE for ITV, SPOOKS with Peter Firth for the BBC and ROSEMARY & THYME with Felicity Kendal for ITV. He is currently appearing as Fr.
