Short Story Narrators: Tamara Kennedy

Image of Tamara Kennedy

A successful actress and voiceover artist for over 20 years, Tamara has enjoyed leading roles on stage, TV and radio throughout the course of her career. Television highlights include fourteen years as regular character Joanna Ross-Gifford in the long running Scottish soap opera High Road and two years as forensics expert Sheila Crombie in Taggart as well as appearances in Rab C Nesbitt, Monarch of the Glen and many other primetime shows.

Alongside her acting career, Tamara has developed a reputation as a highly respected voiceover artist and this is now her area of speciality. She undertakes all kinds of voice work including film and documentary narration, voiceovers for corporate DVDs, language/e-learning courses, short story reading and commercial voiceovers for TV and radio. As well as recording from home in her ISDN studio – frequently still in her pyjamas, although that’s a well kept secret - she also enjoys getting out of the house and escaping to the BBC where she works regularly as an announcer. She gets dressed for that, though.

Tamara is in the process of building a website where further information and contact details may be found, but in the meantime you can find out more about her at www.voiceovers.co.uk or www.tamarakennedy.voice123.com
