Author successes
Congratulations to a number of Short Story Radio writers who have enjoyed recent successes. Jonathan Pinnock won the Scott Prize for his short story collection and also has a novel out - Mrs Darcy versus the Aliens (Proxima).
Julie Mayhew was nominated for a BBC Audio Drama Award for her Radio 4 play A Shoebox of Snow.
Jess Richards, whose short story Shine received an honourable mention in one of our previous competitions has landed a two book deal and her first novel, Snake Ropes, will be published by Sceptre in May.
Submissions
Authors may be interested to learn more about Canadian literary project Carte Blanche, which is currently accepting text and audio submissions (deadline March 15th).
