Short story writers: Nick Cook
Living proof that lack of talent is no barrier to getting published Nick Cook has been writing feature articles for Health and Safety Journals for the last twenty years. He is also President of Verulam Writers' Circle, a member of Watford and Tring Writers' Circles and teaches creative writing courses.
Favourite authors (who do have talent) include Evelyn Waugh, Anthony Powell and Boris Johnson.
Most important biographical detail: Nick Cook is a lifelong Liverpool fan which explains occasional bouts of depression.
Nick's short story Dare was a runner up in the Short Story Radio Competition winter 2008/2009.
